Strigolactone (SL) plays essential roles in regulating plant growth, development, and stress response. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of exogenous SL on watermelon resistance against herbicides penoxsulam (PXL) bensulfuron-methyl (BSM). These were found negatively impact root growth photosynthetic pigments, probably due ultrastructural damage cell death leaf tissues under herbicide stresses.
